With many people (in and outside the gym) experiencing back pain, I felt like this was the perfect post for the day.  I have had this article for a while and decided to dig it out for those in need.  I have used these stretches for clients and myself for years so take heed and use them at will!!!!

Although these stretches are important and very useful, I also want to point out that there are other issues with the back that should be addressed.  Remember that the back is the frame and your spine is the support beam so keep it straight and strong!  Don’t sit with a thick wallet in your back pocket twisting the lower back and hips, don’t slouch or sit cross legged in a chair, sleep on your side with a pillow between your knees, see your chiropractor regularly, keep your core strong and tight, do your planks, bridges, and quadraplexes/birddogs, lift with your legs and keep active!
